Principal's Message

Welcome to all members of the St Monica’s community.

I hope this website will provide you with the information that you require. For all visitors to our website, I hope that you will gain an insight into the many educational opportunities that our school provides.

St Monica’s prides itself on being a Catholic school and highly values the close link that we have with the Parish community. As a Catholic school, the Gospel values are modelled, social justice actions are encouraged, and our student’s faith experiences are related to real life and reflect our Catholic values and beliefs.

We promote respectful and positive relationships, ensuring that the students and their families feel valued and accepted as part of our school community. We have a strong emphasis on student wellbeing, valuing our students’ diversity and promoting emotional learning for all our students.

Our school has an outstanding reputation for establishing high expectations and achieving excellent academic results. We work together -, students, parents and staff - to foster the notion of lifelong learning.

The students are educated in a flexible open-plan learning space that is fully air- conditioned. They have easy access to technology, including digital cameras, laptops, chrome books and iPads, and all the learning spaces have an Apple TV.

St Monica’s effectively implements the latest best practice in education; one that is relevant, engaging, student-centred, collaborative, and most of all, Christ-centred. The staff is highly committed to ongoing professional learning that promotes the best practices for the 21st century learner. The teachers work collaboratively to plan an engaging and differentiated curriculum that is centred on individual learning needs and the interests of the students.

I warmly welcome you to our school and invite you to join us on our learning journey, as we work in partnership with you to provide the best learning opportunities for your child. I look forward to getting to know your child and I trust that your relationship with our community will be a happy and positive one for your family.
