School Fees 2017

 

St Monica's Primary School is a Parish school under the support of the Catholic Education Office, Parramatta. School Fees must be charged in order to meet the cost of wages and general recurrent costs entailed in administering schools. Fees are set by the Diocesan Schools Board and are reviewed each year. There is a likelihood of an increase approximately in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI).


Diocesan Fees

The 2017 Annual Diocesan Tuition Fees are as follows:

The 2017 term rate for each of the first three terms is as follows:

These concessions only apply while all the children are currently attending a Catholic Systemic School. Fees are payable in Terms 1, 2 and 3 unless you would rather make some other arrangement with the Principal.

Annual Diocesan Building Levy

The levy for 2017 is $756 per family, payable in three equal instalments of $252 in terms one, two and three. (The levy is payable to the school attended by the eldest child in a systemic school)

The money collected from the levy is paid into a fund from which building costs and loan repayments for these schools are paid.  The levy is not tax deductible.


Annual Diocesan Education Fee Temporary Residents- 2017

The Diocesan Temporary Residents Education Fee for 2017 is $1,869 per student, payable in three equal instalments of $623 in terms one, two and three.

The fee applies to new students on the following Visa numbers: 173, 401, 402,  411, 415, 416, 417, 418, 419, 420, 421, 422, 423, 426, 427, 428, 442, 457, 459, 476, 485, 497, 580, 600, 601, 651, 675, 676, 679, 685, 944, 956, 976 and 977 including where any of these are the preceding visas for families on bridging visas 010 to 090.

Families charged this fee in 2013 will continue to be charged on a per family basis to the eldest student whilst the family has continuous current students.

Please note that this fee is in addition to the School Fees and is charged yearly.


School-Based Fees

Resource Fee ($174)

Payable for each child (K-6), this fee covers all books and materials used in the classroom throughout the year (The fee is made up of a Resource Fee $111 and $63 Parent Levy). This fee is payable in three equal instalments of $58 payable in Terms 1, 2 and 3.

Family Levy ($63), previously known as the Service Fee
Payable per family to assist with cleaning costs ($63). This fee is payable in three equal instalments of $21 payable in Terms 1, 2 and 3.

Activity Fee (previously known as the Excursion/Incursion Fee

This fee covers most excursions and incursions held throughout the year. This fee will include a Gymnastics and Dance program. These fees are payable in three equal instalments in Terms 1, 2 and 3.

K-2     $129 per child payable over three terms i.e. $43 per term

Years 3-6   $189 per child payable over three terms i.e. $63 per term
(made up of $129 Activity Fee and $60 Project Based Learning (PBL) for students in Years 3-6)

Financial Difficulty

If you are experiencing financial hardship and are unable to pay fees, please discuss the situation with the Principal. Your situation will be treated with care and confidentiality and an appropriate arrangement may be made for you.

No student will be refused enrolment because of a family's genuine inability to pay fees.


Scholarships 

A scholarship fund has also been established to provide scholarships to eligible students. Catholic systemic school scholarships will be granted equitably based on need and merit. For further information on scholarships please contact the Fund Representative.
